Found the book really useful as a simple introduction into signing for babies & young children. However don't buy from here go to the makaton website as the book is much much MUCH cheaper.

Fabulous Book - By: Iris Powell, 02 Dec 2007 This is the best baby signing bookin the UK market. The illustrations are very sweet. Every picture describes the sign beautifully & is completelyin context. Your baby will learn to "read" the signs with the pictures. What a lovely early introduction to books. It's also fun to share together.
My daughter adored this book still does after several years now. I recommend this book to everyone I teach signing to. It's the simplist, clearest & best value baby signing book available.
Wow.. this really works! - By: Clair Fisher, 01 Dec 2006 My baby twins have just turned one, & after half hearted attempts at signing with them for the past few months, they have just started joining in! It is so amazing to realise that they really understand even though they are so tiny, & already it's stopping tantrums when i know what they're actually asking for. This week they were able to ask their Grandma for milk! They love being understood & are really proud of their achievements. The book itself is brilliant, really good to look at, & easy to understand; the babies enjoy sitting & 'reading' it... having now been totally converted to baby signing, I'm ordering the rest of the set, & am determined to do more with them. Commend the BSL approach, as it makes sense to give them a basis with which to communicate with others laterin life, rather than use ASL, effectively a `foreign' language. Highly recommended.
All you need to begin with ... - By: Marley T, 10 Sep 2006 For just under £5 this book gives you everything you need to start signing with your baby. It is quite a large board book & has drawn pictures of babies doing the signsin it. Next to the picture are written instructions on the movements necessary. I can only recommend it.
