Great for any Babylon 5 fan - By: , 08 Nov 2005
If you're a Babylon 5 fan who is missing your fix then the graphic novels are great. They are written by JMS himself & give an extra dimension to events that happenin the show.

More information is given about the character's back story & the back story of the whole Shadows arc too.

The artists & pencillers who do the novels manage to make the characters look good too.

Adequate sourcebook that just misses catching the real feel. - By: , 05 Feb 2001
As a sourcebook for a roleplaying game, this does exactly what it sets out to do, provide information pertaining to the past & the present of the Military forces of the Earth Alliance.

It does a fair job, covering the army & the navy, & providing details on equipment etc.

Where it does excell isin providing a complete, fully functional set of miniatures rules for capital ships combat (Based on the Full Thrust rules I'm led to believe), effectively giving you a complete game into the bargain (Significantly cheaper than the official fleet combat rules).

The book does have faults, there is not much of the epic feel which made B5 compulsive TV viewing, & there are some priniting errors (Such as General Franklins picture being usedin the bio's of three Earth Force personalities. In itself that wouldn't be so bad, but one was female :-).

Well worth it if

a: You play the Babylon Project RPG b: You want a good set of B5 Ship combat rules

but if you don't fit either of the above, beware. This is for the serious completist only.

Excelent Plot, good illustrations, great Diversion - By: , 29 Dec 2000
Herein Spain, I saw B5 briefly on TVE2, on eveninigs. I liked very much, & I was very interested on the Shadows.

Well, one week ago, I have seen here that they have B5 Graphic Novels, Cool! I buyed this. Well, now that I read this, I'm only say that is very god, We see The past of some of the caracters,(I don't now that Garibaldi was "that" before entering EF...)

It takes good rithmin the history, showing the past & the present of Garibaldi, Mars, The Shadows, The Psi-Corps, the Centauri, etc.

I think is a good Comic, & i recommend it to any B5 Fan. It's cool, & it has a very good plot on it.

A role-playing game for role-players. - By: norsemage@hotmail.com, 28 Jul 2000
This rulebook provides a system that encourages the playing of a character rather than the rolling of dice. The system is fairly easy to get to grips with & the emphasis is on the characters that make up the rest of the B5 universe, not what happens on the station. More sourcebooks are required to flesh out the core rules, but players with enough imagination should be able to cope admirably as the rules & game concepts are clearly explained. This game could turn into a classic if it's supported by the manufacturers & the B5 fans.
Not bad but lacking in space combat - By: , 24 Aug 1999
This book is full of species information but I was a little disappointed by the lack of actual space combat or ship information. The 5 seasons & the films had excellent space confrontations, but the game I feel fails to appeal to this type of viewer. I would like to see a follow up with some sort of board game detailing starships from all the seasons including some of those bizarre (vorlons & shadow ships) so that the roleplayer can play the game as it appeared as an episode. But the system, though complex is rather good.
