Drivel - By: eden, 09 Sep 2008
I've read & enjoyed quite a few of her previous books but this really was predictable drivel & has put me off reading any further books.
Wedding Season - By: L. Davis, 31 Aug 2008
Having loved a couple of Katie Fforde booksin particular the Rose Revived, I didn't hesitate to buy this one - I hate to say that I didn't get past chapter 3....I found it cheesy & frankly tedious...sorry x
Embarrassing - By: Dani, 13 Aug 2008
This will have been the last time I bought a Katie Fforde novel as hardback edition. Its predictable plot was not worth the extra expenditure & the sugary, dove-eyed cover illustration made we want to hide it. It really is a shame, but maybe I'm growing out of books like these.
A brilliant easy summer read - much better than her last one! - By: Easterchick, 23 Jul 2008
I'm a big fan of Katie Fforde & have read every book since The Rose Revived. Unlike her last book, which was drivel, I actually enjoyed the charactersin this one, & it made a change to have a book which wasn't based around a canal boat! Everyone loves a wedding, & a celebrity wedding even more so.

OK, so, how the love lives would pan out was obvious from the start - so what? That to me is one of the joys of KF's books - you don't have to think too hard :-) If you want something that makes you think, go get The Guardian. If you want a relaxing book to take on the beach this summer, that's going to cheer you up because you know from the start everything will turn out well - this fits the bill perfectly!
Sad reader - By: Firstclass Stamp, 13 Jul 2008
I have been a fan of Katie Fford's from her earliest works 'The Rose Revived' & 'Stately Pursuits', but this one, like the last couple of her's, have made me decide I will not read any more. This one was trite, boring & so horribly predicatable - right from the beginning I knew what was going to happen to all 3 women - & the only reason I kept going was to prove myself right! It gave every indication of having been written to a formula by a once funny & clever writer who obviously feels she no longer needs to make an effort - her name alone will sell it. The dialogue was stilted & unbelieveable, the characters left me completely unmoved. Thank goodness for the library I say! At least I didn't buy it.
