I'm the kind of person that buys something, throws away the manual, & then works out how to use something.
This strategy works brilliantly - most of the time. Unfortunately for Sibelius, although I could work out some of it, fairly soon things got sticky when I realised that I did not have much of a clue, really.
So I bought this book. And I'm very pleased I did.
It assumes very little prior knowledge & takes you through everything you need to know starting from unwrapping the box. The "lessons" are progressive & practical, building skill & confidence progressively. And if you are terminally impatient like me, you can skip some of them until you fall over & have to admit defeat, backtracking repeatedly until you work out that plodding through the book is really quite a brilliant idea.
There is a lotin the book, & I have not finished it yet. But I'm looking forward to that since I forecast I'll be pretty good at Sibelius by then!
