Excellent starting point ... - By: Mr. J. P. Hume, 25 Nov 2008
This book is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to start developing web applications & dedicated iPhone websites. Simple to follow, well laid out & with links to all the major resources required to produce your own apps this book really couldn't do a lot more. With only an intermediate knowledge of XHTML & CSS I was able to develop some effective sites. Highly recommended.
Comprehensive - By: Mr. M. A. Knott, 25 Jul 2008
This is a pretty comprehensive guide for anyone looking to start developing web applications for the iPhone.
Native apps have taken the headlines but webapps are still powerful & valuable.
This covers some of the great features held within mobile safari, such as canvas & the webkit css features.
The only thing missing is creating offline databases, hence 4 stars, but it's still a valuable resource to have. Combine this with the apple developer resources & you won't go far wrong.
