This book is a collection of writings on the history of sexuality from ancient times until today. It gives a great diversity of opinion on the subject & deals with taboo issues. Nye provides a great introuction to each section, which is laid out by historical era. It is a good introduction for those studying sex & gender, but especially for literature students wishing to gain more insight into the period they are studying's morals.
